they’ve got cones.
For the last few years, the notion:creative (our day job) and The Gluten Free Lab headquarters have been based out of an office just three doors down from local ice cream hero Screamin’ Mimi’s. Three doors down. As in: just seventy-two steps. As in: just forty-eight hops. As in: it’s slightly conceivable that if I were to scream my order at the top of my lungs, somebody working the counter might hear my request, fill the order, and deliver my double scoop of creamy coconut sorbet right to my desk (it’s no secret; that’s pretty much my idea of heaven).
But knowing what I know today, that order would even more exciting. Those seventy-two steps would be quicker. Those forty-eight hops would be springier. Because Screamin’ Mimi’s now offers the option of gluten-free cones by Let’s Do. And, serendipitously, just a couple of weeks ago The Lab discovered that Let’s Do is making a gluten-free sugar cone, which we cannot wait to see at Mimi’s. Must we go to the trouble of mentioning that we’re already counting the days…?
