Take a seat Sonoma County residents because this is really happening…
Sonoma County’s first gluten free bakery is opening this week in Santa Rosa. For reals. We are so excited we can hardly stand it. notion:creative, our day job you’ve heard us mention, had the pleasure of branding this new business and we can’t believe the day has almost arrived!
The woman behind this very exciting project is Maria Balme, an instructor at Bauman College of Holisitic Nutrition and Culinary Arts and the owner of Persimmon Catering…so she knows what she’s doing in the kitchen.
Bliss Bakery will be serving up delicious gluten free baked goods that include cookies, muffins, cakes and cupcakes AND they will be making paninis on mariposa’s foccacia, plus serving soups, salads, savory tarts…and the list goes on. Can you believe it?! Have we died and gone to heaven?! Many of the goods will be vegan in addition to being gluten free and not only will they offer their own baked goods, they will also carry a number of gluten free products by various vendors. Make sure to stop by and check out their inventory.
Bliss Bakery will open Friday, October 1 at 8am. It’s located at 463 Sebastopol Ave in Santa Rosa’s, South A Arts District. They are open for business Thursday thru Monday from 10am to 4pm. You can contact them at 707.542.6000 or blissbakery6000[at]gmail[dot]com.
Please spread the word and help support this venture. It is a huge deal that we will have this available to us and our support is key to her success. GO EAT!!! To get you started Maria has given us a coupon to share with you all…be sure and tell her who sent ya.

Nowadays Gluten Free bakery items are just as good as wheat products, so be sure to mention that so our non-gluten free friends and family know they can get goodies there too! Nobody has to go hungry!
